It was about the process of mm-qcamera-daemon, he is responsible for running the camera. Due to a bug after the camera is turned off, this process continued to use the CPU and consume battery power. Some experts Google claimed that the reason the application Skype, which worked correctly with mm-qcamera-daemon. Later, the developers of Google released a few bug fixes, which fixed the problem, however, not at all. Most likely, with the release of Android L this bug will be fixed definitively, at least evidenced by an entry in the AOSP Tracker, where in front of the bug with the mm-qcamera-daemon indicated «future realese». This means that the problem will be completely fixed in the upcoming update, ie Android L.
