OnePlus posted an alpha version of its own firmware Android – 3DNews

Chinese startup OnePlus, finally quarrel with Cyanogen, has developed its own version of the firmware based on Android for its smartphones. Its alpha version has been published on the official website and available for download.

Earlier Cyanogen has signed an exclusive agreement with Indian manufacturer Micromax, then refused to deliver their version of Android called CyanogenMod for OnePlus One smartphone in the Indian market. Micromax she also tried to block the sale of this device in India. As a result OnePlus decided to develop its own system based on the modification of the Lollipop. Reportedly, it is very close to the standard version of Android.

At the moment, the firmware is not yet ready for mass distribution. When this happens, OnePlus, most likely, will offer all owners to upgrade their devices. That alpha version that is available at the site, is more suitable for testing and various experiments. To install it, you need to perform a complete cleaning of your phone. The automatic update of the firmware will not work.

It is now probably know that in India OnePlus redirected to the new firmware of its own design for all users, but as will be the case in other countries, is not yet clear. The new smartphone OnePlus is definitely not work on CyanogenMod «out of the box.” Now, the manufacturer will use its own version of Android, as do almost all market participants.
