Google removed the Taliban application designed for Android – a REGNUM

Washington, April 4, 2016, 05:11 – REGNUM Google Experts of the company blocked the application for devices based on Android, which was developed by the militants of the terrorist organization “Taliban.” It is reported by Bloomberg, citing the press service of the company.

According to Google spokesperson, the app is not available from the Play Store shop on Sunday, 3 April.

On the application starts April 1 announced the American company SITE Intel Group, produces monitoring social media jihadists. Thanks to the program installed on devices with Android operating system, the movement “Taliban” to disseminate official statements and videos.

According to the source, the remote application was part of a large-scale propaganda campaign of the Taliban. The movement has a website, broadcasting news in five languages, as well as accounts in Facebook and Twitter networks.
