Android Nougat set on 0.7% of Android devices – Ferra

Google has updated its statistics on the prevalence of various versions of the Android operating system on the official site for Android developers Developers. Figures for the week ended January 9, 2017.


In the statistics finally debuted Android version 7.1 Nougat with a share of 0,2%, the share of pure Android 7.0 Nougat is 0.5%. Thus fresh generation Android OS Nougat at the moment installed only on 0.7% of Android devices. An important milestone was the disappearance of the ancient version of Android 2.2 Froyo, released in may 2010. Are recorded in the statistics of Android versions with a share equal or higher than 0.1%, i.e. the share of Froyo is now less than 0.1%.

In first place is Android Lollipop with of 33.4%, it keeps the leadership from March 2016, but its share decreases by 0.6% from December’s figure. In second place is Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a share of 29.6%, it increased by 3.3 percent from December. In third place — KitKat is 22.6% less 1.4% compared to the result in December.

the Version of Jelly Bean received 11.6 percent, a decrease of 1.2%. Version Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread is steadily overtaking Nougat, gaining 1.1% and 1%, respectively.
