Google has released a beta version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat – Ferra

Google has released a test version of the Android operating system 7.1.2 Nougat. The update began to spread among the participating Android Beta Program devices including Pixel and Pixel XL, 5X Nexus, Nexus Player and Pixel C. In the near future it is also expected the release of the Android beta 7.1.2 Nougat for Nexus 6P.

Interestingly, the smartphone Nexus 6 and tablet Nexus 9, were left without the update and Android version 7.1.1 will be their last. In principle, this was expected after Google confirmed the lack of guaranteed Android updates for them from October 2016. However, they will still get security updates for another year.

Android Nougat 7.1.2 is a minor update containing bug fixes, improvements and optimizations. According to the developers, the release of the Android 7.1.2 planned in a few months. As a public beta, the final version will be available for the Pixel, the Pixel XL, Nexus, 5X, 6P Nexus, Nexus Player and Pixel C.
